		<description>I can tell you that in Georgia Many funeral homes have their own crematory.I also find that in most states the rule is also true. In many cases there may be one name for the funeral home and another for the crematory but both are onsite and owned by the same people. My advise would be to ask the funeral home of your choice if they have their own crematory onsite.</description>

		<description>in response to Gretta. i am not sure about all of the states laws, but most of them do not allow a funeral home to also act as a crematory or cemetery. a funeral home cannot own a cemetery or a crematory. so typically the cremation process is handled by a outside crematory. after services, if any, the body is taken to the crematory by the funeral home and then the cremated remains are then delivered back to the funeral home, then funeral home will contact the family to let them know the cremains are available to be picked up by a family member.</description>
